Handicamp Norway 2010
Application Procedure
1 Cost The stay in Norway for the duration of the camp, including accommodation, is covered by Norwegian Rotarians through NORFO, HC 2010. This means that the applicants must arrange for their own funding of the travelcost and necessary pocketmoney.
2 Local contact For practical reasons and safety, we recommend a local Rotary Club with a named contact person as main contact for the chosen candidate in your district.
3 Application forms These forms are located on the web-site as excel sheet or PDF/html document. We accept application in Excel and sent by mail. If you see a pop-up form “Connect to www.handicamp.no” just cancel this message and save the document on your computer with the same name. Fill in the form and send to secretary by e- mail. If you use the PDF/html version, use capital letters and write your e-mail address understandable! You can either scan the document and send by e-mail or use ordinary mail. Please be thorough in filling in the forms. The physically disabled applicant also needs confirmation from MD/physician on the medical form. This document can be scanned and sent by e-mail or sent as originals by ordinary mail.
4 Visa application and Insurance. Read document on the Web-site carefully. Check “Useful links”. Look for “Visa waiver countries” on link 2. Contact local Norwegian Embassy or consulate and check their procedure. If you need visa, remember the travel insurance. Normal processing time for visa at the regional Foreign Service Mission is about 2 weeks but some countries need much longer time!
5 Closing date for application is February 1st. 2010.
6 Selection of applicants. We start immediately after February 1st. 2010 to select the candidates for the camp. The candidates and contact Rotary Club will be notified with an invitation letter to the camp.
